Professor in the faculty of fine arts, Capital University in Cairo.

Born in Cairo in 1968, is an Egyptian visual artist who graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in 1991, Graphic Department.

He obtained his Master’s degree in 1996 on “The Artistic Characteristics of Newspaper Illustrations in Sabah El Kheir Magazine” and his PhD in 2001 on “The Arab Identity of Characters Drawn in Children’s Books”. He is a member of the Fine Artists Syndicate and has been a founder of the El Lakta El Wahda Art Group since 2002. He has worked as a journalistic illustrator for several publications, including Sabah El Kheir magazine. Since 1993, he has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions. He was nominated for the State Excellence Award from Helwan University and the Fine Artists Syndicate. He was honored in by the Ministry of Culture on the Culture Day honoring Egypt’s creators for the year 2025.

Statement:

The author reflects on the freedom, imagination, and honesty of childhood, where creativity flows without fear, judgment, or limitations. Inspired by memories and by observing children’s uninhibited drawings, they reconnect with their own inner child and embrace a simpler, more expressive way of creating art. By letting go of adult expectations and criticism, the author rediscovers joy, authenticity, and imagination, ultimately finding that their work resonates most deeply with children.
