Khaled Sorour
Khaled Sorour is an Egyptian artist and professor at the Faculty of Art Education who has been active in the visual arts since the mid 1980s. He previously served as Head of the Visual Arts Sector at the Ministry of Culture and represented Egypt in major international events including the Venice Biennale. His works are held in numerous public and private collections.
His art draws from everyday Egyptian life and folk heritage, using bold colors and strong black lines to depict social narratives. Through simplified forms and vivid contrasts, his work captures the rhythm, movement, and emotional landscape of ordinary people.
